As the Farmington Observer warned us a week ago, and the Detroit Free Press reminded us yesterday, the intersection of Farmington Road and 14 Mile closes today for construction of a roundabout. The closure will last until November 1. The Free Press reported October, but I’m not nearly that optimistic. They’ve also got a link to the State of Michigan’s new roundabout page, which provides helpful information about how to navigate roundabouts, which are becoming ever more popular - at least among those who do the planning for our roads and intersections. Study up, people.
I haven’t driven past to see where they’re at with the two towers that have baffled and annoyed Farmington Hills residents lo, these many years. Brian plans to check it out this afternoon, I will report back this evening.
