At tonight’s Farmington Hills City Council meeting, Councilman Barry Brickner asked whether there would be a celebration of some kind when the towers at 14 Mile and Farmington RoadĀ come down. There won’t be, but City Manager Steve Brock said there is some good news about the pair of two-story, brick buildingsĀ built after a bitter lawsuit over zoning.
“We’re hopeful the contractor will disassemble it, because there are some valuable things there,” Brock said. Also, some of the landscaping will end up being reused on city property. “So it’s not all a loss,” he added.
Brock’s prediction: The buildings will be down “imminently.”
