  • We were very pleased to learn the florist who did our wedding flowers five years ago, The Vines, is moving into the space vacated by Eclectic Elegance.
  • Gala, that charming little bistro on Grand River, has a new manager. Might be time to stop by for a small plate and an introduction…
  • Paczkis. Sunflour Bakehaus at the historic Farmington Bakery. Need I say more?
  • J’s Convenience Store (adjacent to J’s Jewelers in the Village Mall) has a sign out front advertising J Bucks. I’m dying of curiosity, but haven’t had the chance to walk over and find out what that’s all about.
  • Kind of old news, but it’s nice to see Hershey’s Ice Cream is open for the season. Hey, we can dream of summer, can’t we?
  • Anyone heard anything about Luigi’s? We caught wind that the restaurant was recently closed in the middle of the day, but no details were forthcoming. (The place always brings to mind two words for me: Minestrone. Yum.)
